OCZ recently just announced their new IOPS firmware v. 1.13 for their Octane Series of drives.
The 128 GB drive gets a speed increase from 7,700 4K random write IOPS to 18,000, while the 256 GB drive increases from 12,000 to 25,000 and finally, the 512 GB drive increases from 16,000 to 26,000.
Pretty impressive considering it’s a simple firmware update.
